About Dexus

Doors done properly, and proven on paper.

Dexus is a commercial and industrial door company on the South Coast, led by founder and director Matt Dixon. We install, service and repair doors — and we make sure every job is documented, certificated and signed off.

What we believe

A working door is only half the job.

The other half is the paperwork — the survey, the service record, the certificate that proves the door is safe and compliant.

Plenty of firms can hang a shutter. Fewer treat the documentation as part of the work rather than an afterthought. For commercial and industrial buildings, that record is what stands up to your insurer, your auditor and your responsible-person duties. So we build it into every visit, not bolt it on at the end.

Fitted to the maker's standard

Genuine parts, operators and entrances fitted to the manufacturer's standard, the way the warranty expects — on the leading automatic door, hardware and automation systems in use across the South Coast.

Standards & compliance

Worked to the standard. Written down every time.

Powered doors and gates are work equipment, and the law treats them that way. As the building owner or manager, you carry an ongoing duty to keep them safe and maintained — we exist to make that straightforward, and to leave you the paperwork that proves it.

The standards we work to

Roller shutters and industrial doors to BS EN 13241 and BS EN 12453; automatic pedestrian doors to BS EN 16005; fire shutters to BS EN 16034. Every powered door gets the BS EN 12635 logbook, recording the install, the safety devices fitted and every service since.

Your legal duty, covered

The Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 require doors and gates to be properly constructed and kept in efficient working order — and as work equipment, PUWER applies too. Our survey, service record and logbook are what you'd show to prove it.

Standards-led engineering

Our work follows the recognised UK safety standards for powered doors, gates and automatic entrances — and our engineers' training is kept current as those standards are updated.
